The aim of the Communication qualification is to encourage candidates to develop and demonstrate their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills for different purposes. The qualification is essentially concerned with developing and recognising candidates' ability to select and apply communication skills in ways that are appropriate to their particular context.

Apprenticeships and Advance Apprenticeships

The following qualifications at levels 1 and 2, can be used as the Essential Skills Wales components for all Modern Apprenticeships/Advcanced Apprenticeship frameworks in Wales. Please see relevant frameworks for level/combination required.
