The aim of the Application of Number qualification is to encourage candidates to develop and demonstrate their skills in using number to tackle a task, activity or problem by collecting and interpreting information involving numbers, carrying out calculations, interpreting results and presenting findings. Evidence for these qualifications can be generated in the context of the candidate’s wider learning, training programme, or employment, or in their domestic or leisure activities.

Apprenticeships and Advance Apprenticeships

The following qualifications at levels 1 and 2, can be used as the Essential Skills Wales components for all Modern Apprenticeships/Advcanced Apprenticeship frameworks in Wales. Please see relevant frameworks for level/combination required.
