Overview

Our new History A specification builds upon the successful and popular Schools History Project approach which looks at history in a number of different ways. As well as thinking about history differently, learners also have the opportunity to investigate a local historical site, which encourages them to put real history into context.

Benefits

  • A varied approach to teaching and learning history, including in-depth study of a specific period.
  • An opportunity to study a historical site in your local area.
  • Easier progress into A Level History - our A Level History B specification follows similar patterns.
  • Supported by resources from Heinemann, giving teachers a wide range of ways to teach History GCSE.
