Extension to the accreditation periods
This qualification has been extended to 31 December 2010 but certification may take place until 31 December 2013.
From 1 July 2010, this qualification is replaced by OCR Level 4 Certificate in Police First Line Management (04689).

The OCR NVQ Level 3 in Police Supervisory Management has been designed for the more experienced officer who has responsibility for the work of others. The units included within this NVQ define the skills required to plan and manage a group of officers. It will typically be suitable for Sergeants and Detective Sergeants. Officers from many ranks will find their skills represented in the units of this NVQ.
