Inspiring you and your learners, OCR's Project qualifications encourages creativity and generates enthusiasm. Learners have the freedom to undertake a project on a subject they are studying or in an area of personal interest.
At all levels Projects give learners an opportunity to develop communication, planning, time management, research and independent working skills that will be relevant whether they continue in education or to go into employment.
Projects are stand-alone qualifications, at Levels 1 to 3. They are also a compulsory part of the Diploma.
The project can take the form of a report, performance, artefact, investigation, design or dissertation (at L3) and can be on any topic the learner chooses. If part of Diploma it must: "complement and develop on from the theme and topics of Principal Learning and/or support student progression"
Learners are assessed on their ability to plan, research, develop and critically evaluate their work rather than on the outcome of the project itself.
