This qualification forms part of a new suite of qualifications and assess learners' knowledge and understanding of practice in the area of care for individuals with dementia. It consists of four mandatory units which assess learners' general awareness of dementia care issues; their understanding of the administration of medication, the role of communication and interaction and the diversity of individuals with dementia.
