Overview

The OCR Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Activity leadership is suitable for those working in either the outdoors or in sports development, operating at 'assistant instructor' (or equivalent) level. Learners will be capable of planning and delivering activity sessions and carrying out related duties with limited supervision, but within a controlled environment.

To achieve the full award, candidates must complete seven units, including five mandatory units and two optional units.

Completion of this qualification will give learners the opportunity to progress to the NVQ Level 3 Sports Development and NVQ Level 3 Leisure Management. This will also provide progression to the apprenticeship framework.
