Changes to the Teacher Qualifications Framework in the Lifelong Learning Sector
From September 2007, all new entrants to teaching in the sector will be required to complete a new award which will prepare them to teach. This is a small introductory course which will give a threshold status to teach.

The OCR Level 4 Certificate for Adult Numeracy Subject Specialists has been developed to recognise the knowledge and skills demonstrated by those who work as specialist teachers of numeracy. It has been designed to develop and accredit awareness of the wider social and learning issues related to the development of numeracy skills, including insight into the learning difficulties and disorders that challenge some learners.
