This qualification is intended for those who internally verify the NVQ Assessment Process.To achieve the full award, candidates must achieve unit V1 from the Learning and Development National Occupational Standards 'Conduct Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process'.

As you may be aware, this qualification was due to expire on 31 December 2010. However, I am pleased to inform you that this date has now been extended to:

• Last entry date: 1 April 2011 
• Last certification date: 31 December 2013

Competence based

Like all NVQ unit-based awards, this qualification is competence-based. This means that it is linked to the candidate's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. Candidates plan a programme of development and assessment with their assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that they are competent and knowledgeable in their work role.
