How do I get started with the iMedia e-portfolio?

To get started with iMedia you need to request an entry form. Once your completed entry form is processed you will receive from OCR your iMedia assignment materials:

  • Statement of entries
  • NQF 4 and 5

You will then receive from TAG Learning OCR's iMedia MAPS technology partner:

  1. iMedia MAPS e-portfolio login details
  2. iMedia MAPS e-portfolio user guide

No specialist equipment or software is required. All you need to use iMedia MAPS e-portfolio is a computer with internet access (preferably broadband) and Internet Explorer 5.5+ or Mozilla 1.0+.

What if candidates do not have access to the internet?

As long as the tutor has access to the internet, the tutor can choose to upload work on behalf of the candidates.

Work is marked by the tutor in iMedia MAPS e-portfolio using the e-checklist, an electronic version of the evidence checklist shown in the tutors' handbooks.

We found there were numerous issues with submitting work via CD. iMedia MAPS e-portfolio meets the needs of both centres and candidates and is best suited the interactive digital nature of the qualification.
