Following a review of our qualification offer in the light of changes to market demand and funding arrangements, OCR has reluctantly decided that all qualifications in the Text Processing (Business Professional) qualifications are being withdrawn. The final series will be summer 2017 with a resit opportunity in autumn 2017. We will make all units available for examination in autumn 2017, including those that would not normally be offered in an autumn series.
The withdrawal of Text Processing will not prevent Administration (Business Professional) centres from meeting the requirements for certification if alternative optional units are selected. Learners taking Administration (Business Professional) will still be able to use any prior achievement of Text Processing units after the Text Processing suite expires.
The OCR Level 1 Award in Administration (Business Professional) is a bite-sized qualification that has been developed to offer an introduction to routine administrative practice. It aims to provide accreditation for the key knowledge, skills and understanding that would be needed by a new employee in an administrative job role.
