On 1 August 2009 (subject to accreditation) we will be offering the Entry Level Award in Digital Literacy (Entry 3), scheme code 01779. This is the same qualification but it is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Details of the new qualification will be uploaded to the website shortly.

This course is designed to assess basic computer concepts and skills so that students' knowledge, understanding and skills are recognised and they gain confidence in using computer technology in everyday life.
Whether the student is entirely new to computing or has some experience, this qualification will develop their fundamental understanding of computers.
Tests will be available on demand through OCR's e-testing facility known as i-assess. For further information on administering the tests refer to the e-tests section of the website.
Those students, who are successful in achieving this qualification, may progress to the OCR Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (New CLAIT) or to the Level 1 Key Skill in IT.
