Overview

This qualification is part of the Young Enterprise's Company and Team Programmes, designed to introduce students to core aspects of business and enterprise skill and knowledge.

These Certificates accredit students' achievements at Entry Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 of the National Qualifications Framework.

The in Enterprise (Young Enterprise Team Programme) Entry 3 is aimed at those participating in the Young Enterprise Team Programme. Level 2 Certificate in Enterprise (Young Enterprise) is aimed at those participating in the Young Enterprise Company Programme and, Level 1 Certificate in Enterprise (Young Enterprise) is aimed at those participating in both Young Enterprise Team and Company Programmes.

Students may progress on to an NVQ in Business and Administration at Level 1 or GCSE Business.

Specification aims

The aims of this specification are to encourage students to:

• Develop knowledge of the business environment through practical enterprise experiences.
• Develop an appreciation of economic concepts in a practical situation.
• Develop the interpersonal skills needed to work in a team.
• Progress by assisting in the development of the skills needed to undertake further study.
