Overview

The OCR Level 2 Certificate in Retail has been developed to accredit candidates' knowledge and understanding of a variety of retail functions and activities. It has been developed in consultation with industry to make it relevant and worthwhile and is endorsed by Skillsmart. The qualification meets the requirements for a Technical Certificate in Retail as part of a Foundation Modern Apprenticeship programme.

The qualification is aimed at those who are new to the knowledge and understanding required for working in retail. It is suitable for those who are studying in preparation for employment in a retail role or in preparation for undertaking the NVQ at Level 2. This could be part of a Foundation Modern Apprenticeship.

It will also be suitable for those who are already employed in retail roles and who wish to develop knowledge and understanding in a broader range of retail practice.

The OCR Level 2 Certificate in Retail is a qualification accredited by QCA to the National Qualifications Framework.
