Overview

The OCR Entry Level Award in Speed Keying (Entry 3) forms part of OCR's Text Processing Suite and it is a vocationally-related qualification.

The course is designed to offer students the opportunity to develop skills and gain the knowledge and understanding needed in order to enter text processing and administrative-related work.

Specification aims

The aims of this specification are to:

  • Accredit speed and accuracy in the use of an alphanumeric keyboard.
  • Accredit competence in copying alphanumeric text.
  • Encourage progression by assisting in the development of the skills and knowledge which students will need to undertake further study.
