The Text Processing suite of qualifications has been designed to develop and recognise candidates' ability to produce a variety of straightforward business documents to meet the requirements of employment. The units that make up this qualification are drawn directly from the RSA Text Processing Modular Awards at Stage I which are widely recognised by employers as the benchmark qualifications in text processing.
Unit structure provides flexibility for delivery, examination and certification. A Certificate is awarded for each individual unit. The full OCR Level 1 Certificate in Text Processing is awarded for the achievement of the Text Production mandatory unit (English or Welsh) plus one option. A Diploma is available for the achievement of the mandatory unit (English or Welsh) plus 3 others.

The qualification is ideal for those who are new to the skills and knowledge required by Text Processing operators. It is also suitable for those who are studying in preparation for employment.
