Re-claiming units

Cambridge Technicals

Cambridge Technicals (2012 suite)

Once a unit has been confirmed by the visiting moderator and the certificate issued, the option to claim for that unit will no longer be available on Interchange and will appear ‘greyed out’.

If you intend to re-submit a unit to achieve a higher grade at another moderation visit (as the learner has added to the unit) then a new single unit entry for the unit(s) you intend to re-claim is needed (see entries). This will allow you to claim for the unit a second time.

If you are moving up to a larger size qualification, the opportunity to claim the unit again will be available without the purchase of this additional unit entry once you have moved up to the larger qualification size.

Cambridge Technicals (2016 suite)

Internally assessed units can be re-submitted without a new entry and without withdrawing the old mark. For the 2016 suite, internally assessed units are not ‘greyed out’ as they are for the 2012 suite once they are claimed on Interchange. You would simply make a claim again on Interchange for the unit at the higher grade for a subsequent moderation visit.
