Bringing together all those at the forefront of maths education is this high profile event - the quadrennial British Congress of Mathematics Education (BCME7) Mathematical Progressions - which is being held from 6 - 9 April at the University of Manchester.
On the OCR stand you can meet our specialist subject experts to learn more about our newly accredited specifications - GCSE Mathematics and Functional Skills Maths 2010 - and find out, first-hand, how you can use them to optimise your learners' performance. Pick up the latest information and your exclusive OCR Rubik's cube!
The latest research findings on A Level assessment will also be presented during OCR Principal Examiner, Chris Little's, seminar.
OCR will join Texas Instruments and the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM), to create 'Maths in Motion' a stimulating, hands-on experience featuring a range of interactive problem solving tasks. It will be held in the lecture theatre foyer and participants will have the chance to win a TI-Nspire™ Handheld Calculator and a CBR 2™ Motion Sensor - an ultra-sonic motion detector which collects and analyses real world motion data.
As a key part of the conference speakers' and workshop programmes, OCR will be providing inspiration for classroom activities with a lineup of experts, each possessing a wealth of experience in the field of Mathematics.
