With a portfolio of over 500 vocational qualifications, OCR is delighted to sponsor the Learner of the Year Award for the annual celebration of vocational achievement, VQ Day, which this year takes place on 4 June.
We would encourage all the schools, colleges, training providers and employers who use OCR’s vocational qualifications to get involved in nominating individuals who have excelled in their vocational studies for the national Learner of the Year Award.
The window for nominations for all VQ Day awards starts on 5 February and runs until 2 May 2014. To get involved, visit the VQ day awards website.
Last year’s winner of the OCR-sponsored Learner of the Year Award was Aaron Freeman, a student from Gloucester College, whose success in vocational qualifications opened up the chance for him to study at university, gave him the confidence to start his own business and to stand as a candidate in county council elections.
