Our aim is to help and support you migrate smoothly onto Cambridge Technicals, whatever suite you choose.
Our new Cambridge Technicals 2016 suite qualifications are ready for first teaching from September 2016 and if you’re moving from BTEC, you may also be thinking of our Cambridge Technicals 2012 suite—particularly for your Level 2 students.
Whichever suite you take, our customer support offer is here to make sure we're able to support you every step of the way.
Changing to Cambridge Technicals 2016 suite
Once you've completed the intention to teach you'll receive a welcome email to get you off on the right foot. This will support you with locating online resources and training that’s right for you, and make sure you have everything you need to start your journey with us.
Complete an advisory support request form and our CPD team will email you with details of the specific subject support that’s available online.
Take advantage of our online webinar support, designed to provide you with a flexible approach to CPD. Book onto one of our advisory support subject webinars via our CPD Hub. These events are subject specific and allow you to raise questions around the specification and assessment.
To help you get up and running with the delivery of your qualification we provide a range of Inset events. These are offered on various dates and locations throughout the UK and all Inset for Cambridge Technicals is free of charge for 2016–2017. To make sure you’re fully equipped we provide Inset on subject specifications, and internal and external administration processes.
On the CPD Hub you can take a look at the events on offer, find out what the aims and objectives of the courses are and book your place. You can also find all the Inset materials that are provided to delegates on the day. So, if you can’t attend a face-to-face event don’t worry, you can still download the materials free of charge.
Changing to Cambridge Technicals 2012 suite
We have extended both the 2012 Level 2 and Level 3 suite of qualifications. For full details take a look at our Cambridge Technicals explained guide.
Extending the 2012 suites gives you real choice when it comes to selecting your post–16 provision; enabling you to provide qualifications that are fit for purpose, right for your students destination, and accessible for your students’ needs and allowing them to succeed within their post–16 studies.
Once you’ve completed an intention to teach a member of our customer liaison team will provide you with a welcome call to get you off on the right foot. They’ll be able to support you with locating online resources that are right for you, and make sure you have everything you need to start your journey with us.
Previously achieved BTEC units
For those of you moving to the 2012 Cambridge Technicals from BTEC you’ll be pleased to hear that we’ll accept BTEC unit achievements at Pass, Merit or Distinction grades for Cambridge Technicals in the following subjects:
- Business Levels 2 and 3
- Health and Social Care Levels 2 and 3
- IT Levels 2 and 3
- Performing Arts Levels 2 and 3
- Sport Levels 2 and 3
