We are pleased to confirm that the Cambridge Technicals (2012 suite) in Performing Arts have been extended to the dates shown in the table below:
Further details about the Cambridge Technicals can be found in our Cambridge Technicals Explained document.
The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) has published the list of qualifications where funding is being withdrawn in England. This includes 24 of our non-examined assessment Level 3 2012 Cambridge Technicals. All 2016 Cambridge Technicals qualifications are unaffected.
We have no plans at present to withdraw any of our 2012 Cambridge Technicals qualifications since they are used across the UK. We’ll help you to identify your options, including moving to the 2016 Cambridge Technicals.
Funding in England will continue for those students who begin their study before August 2020 up to their completion.
This qualification offers a wide choice of units to reflect the range of opportunities available within the performing arts sector. At Level 3, students have the option of a specialist pathway where they can take a learning route that fits with their individual career aspirations. It provides students with an understanding of performing arts through engagement with techniques, the work of practitioners, industry conventions and community projects.
