Functional Skills English 08840-08844 Teaching from 2019

We have taken the decision to withdraw from providing Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 English and Maths Functional Skills qualifications at the end of 2020, as we don’t believe we’re able to provide a service that best suits English and Maths Functional Skills teaching and learning. To support teachers looking for external assessments for Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills this year, we will provide paper-based tests scheduled for specific times in March and in June/July. We are very sorry to confirm that we will not be going ahead with on-demand external assessment tests (paper-based on or on-screen) for our new Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills in the academic year, 2019/20. We’re supporting centres who want on-demand assessments in the run up to Christmas and into the New Year to find alternative tests. We will keep you updated regularly about our Functional Skills qualifications and will provide further information in January 2020. For more information please refer to the recent update.
