There are two significant features of 14-19 development that are particular to Wales; the 14-19 learning pathways policy, and the Welsh Baccalaureate. OCR in Wales is engaging positively with both.
This is encouraging school, college and training provider partnerships to respond imaginatively to the challenge of widening the curriculum choice within and, in some cases, across Local Authority areas. This is an opportunity for curriculum managers and others to revisit their current provision, and OCR can help.
OCR has produced a 14-19 Learning Pathways toolkit that helps identify what qualifications and support we can provide that meets the demands of the 14-19 Learning Pathways agenda.

The Welsh Baccalaureate is an exciting project and OCR is providing direct assistance to many of the participating centres to help them achieve its main components - Key Skills and GCEs, GCSEs or OCR Nationals. Our team of visiting Key Skills moderators are very experienced in providing support that helps centres achieve the primary goal - helping their learners to achieve the qualifications that make the Welsh Baccalaureate.
