The key aim is to provide students using maths in Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Geography, IT or Psychology with the skills needed to solve mathematical problems arising in their other subjects, employment and everyday life.
Students can either take a 60 guided learning hour course, Introduction to Quantitative Methods, earning a Level 3 certificate, or progress to take a full AS Level in Quantitative Methods. The AS Level is attained when the unit Introduction to Quantitative Methods is combined with Decision 1 and Statistics 1 from the GCE Mathematics (MEI) suite.
