The Science team offers subject specialist knowledge across biology, chemistry, geology and physics, as well as the applied sciences. The team come from a wide variety of different backgrounds, bringing experience of teaching (in the UK and overseas), academic and industrial research, educational publishing and a range of science and engineering based employment sectors.
As well as subject expertise, the team have extensive assessment experience across a range of different qualification types and levels. The team are responsible for the development of new GCSE and A Level qualifications, and then for supporting you through the delivery of our courses.
There are a wide range of curriculum pathways through the sciences, and we are here to help with you choosing the most appropriate routes for your learners as they progress form Key Stage 3 through Key Stages 4 and 5 and ultimately on to university and/or employment.
We firmly believe that there is no one correct way to teach science subjects - a variety of approaches are needed to enthuse and engage learners. This philosophy is reflected both in the choice of qualifications that we offer, and in the way in which we support those qualifications. We provide a wide range of resources and guidance, some developed by ourselves, others produced in partnership with universities, publishers and other science community stakeholders.
