Overview

Sport and Recreation NVQs are suitable for people working in the field of Sport and Recreation.

The Operational Services NVQ Level 2 is suitable for people who work in sport and leisure facilities and who are responsible for providing services such as setting up, taking down and maintaining equipment, cleaning and tidying, customer care, life guarding or plant operation. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete seven units, including three mandatory units and four optional units.

Competence based

Like all NVQ (NQF)s this qualification is competence based. This means that it is linked to the candidate's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. Candidates plan a programme of development and assessment with their assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that they are competent and knowledgeable in their work role.
