Students will be provided with formulae and equations sheets for GCSE mathematics, physics and combined science exams for one more year.  

Following consultation, Ofqual has confirmed that exam boards must publish formulae sheets for GCSE mathematics and equations sheets for GCSE physics and GCSE combined science on or before 12 January 2024 so that students can become familiar with them before the exams, as well as provide copies with the summer 2024 exam papers.  

The provision of formulae sheets will also apply to GCSE mathematics exams taken in November 2024.

The Department for Education has confirmed that 2024 will be the final year that these support materials will be made available with a return to normal exam arrangements in 2025.  OCR argued for retaining such support materials beyond 2024.
