Below are the most frequently asked questions from teachers about the year 10 practice papers for GCSE (9-1) history qualifications. If you have a question that you cannot find the answer to below, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, Tweet us @OCR_History, or call us on 01223 553998.
Yes, we will provide year 10 practice papers for our GCSE (9-1) History A (Explaining the Modern World) and GCSE (9-1) History B (Schools History Project) qualifications.
All GCSE (9-1) history topics will be covered from both of our specifications: J410 History A (Explaining the Modern World) and J411 History B (School History Project).
The papers have been released on Interchange with links from the qualification pages or by clicking on the links below.
The papers will be available in May 2017.
The OCR year 10 practice papers will be provided free of charge.
There will be one set of OCR year 10 practice papers in history, but these will be held securely on Interchange so that you can use the material each year.
All components of both GCSEs will be covered by the practice papers, separated into each individual topic to allow for centres to combine the papers in any chosen way depending on what has been covered.
OCR will not be marking the papers, but a full mark scheme will be provided so that you can use the tests flexibly and mark them yourself. This will mean that you will have instant feedback as to how your learners are progressing.
You can sign up to be kept informed, but will need access to Interchange, our secure area, to get access to the papers.
The papers will not have grade boundaries assigned as the results will not go through standardisation.
