Entries allow us to personalise key documents with candidates’ details, allocate moderators to centres and exam scripts to examiners, send you question papers and supply candidates with results so they’re a key part of the assessment cycle.
For the 2012 suite, you enter candidates for either the full qualification or individual units. They should not be entered for both:
- Full award entry – for candidates who are intending to complete the whole qualification rather than just individual units. This is often a more cost-effective way to make entries
- Unit entry – for candidates building up their qualification unit by unit. For some qualifications, this is the only way to make entries.
For the 2016 suite, you need to make qualification entries. These provide OCR with detailed data for each candidate, showing each qualification to be taken.
In addition, you will also need to make examined unit entries for timetabled tests. For on-screen tests, you enter the candidates directly on the on-screen test system.
There are no entry deadlines for qualification entries. However, you should make entries at least four weeks before a planned moderation visit and before you make examined unit entries for the Cambridge Technicals (2016 suite).
Examined unit entries must be made by the relevant series deadlines.
All the key dates and deadlines are provided in the key dates section.
It’s important we get your examined unit entries on time but if you’re having unexpected problems, please get in touch and we’ll look at what support we can provide.
The entry codes booklet for Cambridge Technicals contains all the codes and rules of combination together with assessment availability for each series.
All our entry fees are provided in the fees list. Please check this document carefully to ensure you don’t incur late entry fees.
Invoices will be sent (normally via email) to your accounts contact once you have made your entries.
To query an invoice, please forward a copy of the invoice and supporting documentation to creditcontrol@ocr.org.uk, quoting your centre number and invoice number.
