We’ll introduce the changes in a phased approach:
From 8 September 2025 onwards
- Our websites and social media channels are updated to our new name and logo
Exam certificates
- Students who sat an exam in the summer 2025 series will receive a Cambridge OCR exam certificate, which will be the same for all future exam series. See the examples below:
Certificates relating to previous exam series will remain in the OCR/Oxford Cambridge and RSA name/brand; we’ll not automatically issue new copies of certificates from past exam series. From 8 September 2025, some replacement certificates and certifying statements from previous exam series will be issued displaying Cambridge OCR in the qualification title section. Although the wording may not match the original certificate issued, the document is valid.
Qualification materials and teaching resources
- Our specifications will be updated to show the Cambridge OCR name and logo. Over time, you’ll start to see a fresh design introduced across our specifications.
- We produce a range of resources which support teaching, learning and assessment. You’ll start to see our new name, look and logo on any new resources published, and resources that require a content refresh.
- On existing resources, you’ll continue to see the OCR name/logo. The content of these remains applicable to the specification being taught.
Events
- You'll start to see our new name (Cambridge OCR), look and logo at events we attend or host online, including professional development and networking.
Textbooks and other 3rd party endorsed resources
- Our new name and logo will start to appear on newly published resources, for example textbooks (as ‘Endorsed for Cambridge OCR qualifications’ - see example below).
Professional development
- All courses will be in the new Cambridge OCR name/brand from September 2025.
From the November 2025 exam series onwards
Question papers, exam certificates, and exam stationery (including continuation booklets, data sheets and formula booklets, script return envelopes) will be issued in the new Cambridge OCR name and logo.
We're committed to reducing waste by using up the existing stock of branded materials before introducing new items. As a result, generic answer booklets with OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA) branding may be issued to centres for the November 2025, January 2026, and June 2026 exam series, alongside newly-branded Cambridge OCR booklets. These are valid and may be used by candidates where required.
Additionally, centres are encouraged to use any remaining stock of OCR-branded generic answer booklets, which will also remain valid when submitted to us for marking.
