OCR has made the difficult decision not to redevelop AS and A Levels in Gujarati. Efforts have been made to find an awarding body to continue Gujarati and we are delighted that the DfE has gained agreement in principle from another provider to take up the provision of the A Level Gujarati.
This specification develops an interest in, and enthusiasm for language learning. It helps candidates further develop the skills of listening, reading and writing at a level beyond GCSE. They learn about the culture of countries where Gujarati is spoken and become able to communicate with people in these countries.
