Description
Learn how to help your students make the grade in their external assessment
This event will be looking at the externally assessed Unit R057.
You will be able to learn methods for improving delivery for the Unit and receive in depth advice about how to meet different grading criteria.
Aimed at:
New and experienced teachers [including non-specialist teachers] looking to deepen their expertise in preparing students for external assessment.
Building on the support available on our website, this hands-on workshop will give you the tools to help the delivery of the externally assessed units of Cambridge Nationals Child Development J809.
Drawing on resources available to date, the workshop will focus on key elements of the externally assessed unit where you can focus your teaching to help students progress from one grade to the next. The session will offer opportunities to explore how to use the resources and apply them when preparing candidates for the exam.
The event is also an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues teaching the same specification, share ideas, and build community understanding.
Delegates will:
• Explore resources available to them such as Curriculum planner and Schemes of work to help them identify key teaching and learning themes.
• Hearing advice on how to use the sample assessment material, and how marks are allocated.
• Being able to see candidate style answers. Delegates will need access to a computer and access to the chat function.
