Description
Learn how to help your students make the grade in their external assessment
For: new and experienced teachers [including non-specialist teachers] of Psychology looking to deepen their expertise in preparing students for external assessment
Building on the support available on our website, this hands-on workshop will give you the tools to take your understanding and delivery of the externally assessed units of GCSE Psychology to the next level.
Drawing on examples from all exam series held to date, the workshop will focus on key elements of the externally assessed unit or examined unit where you can focus your teaching to help students progress from one grade to the next. The session will offer opportunities to mark real student work
The event is also an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues teaching the same specification, share ideas, and build community understanding.
Delegates will:
• Explore recent examiner reports and identified teaching and learning themes
• Practice marking short and extended answer questions, with a focus on Maths elements and research method skills
• Receive feedback from an experienced examiner on their marking of sample responses
