STEP (Sixth term examination paper) can be taken in the UK and all over the world.
To take STEP you must be registered at an authorised test centre – as a candidate you cannot register yourself.
UK students
If your school or college is not already registered as a centre, please ask them to apply to become a test centre.
If your school or college is not able to become a test centre, there is an open test centre in London (see below). If this is not an option for you, please contact us so we can support you further.
International students
If your school or college is not already registered as a centre, you need to find an authorised open test centre where you can take the test.
If there are no open test centres in your country or near you, we can work with you to try to find a test centre: please contact us so we can support you.
Candidates in China can only take STEP at a British Council centre. Please contact the British Council in China for further details.
