The Institute for Apprenticeships has now officially become the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, as it takes on key parts of the T Levels programme.

From 31 January 2019, the Institute became responsible for the Technical Qualifications within T Levels including arranging the approval of outline content, issuing contracts to awarding organisations, and approving the final T Levels ready for providers to teach.

The Institute will continue to lead on the roll-out of new apprenticeship standards.
