Changes to our Functional Skills qualifications

Please see below a summary of the latest updates for our Functional Skills qualifications in English, Maths and ICT. These include extensions and withdrawals so please make sure the following information is shared within your centre.

Functional Skills in ICT - qualification extension

We are pleased to confirm the review date for the qualifications below has been extended to 31 August 2020. You do not need to take any action and can continue to deliver this suite to your learners.

Functional Skills in English and Mathematics - withdrawal and replacement of qualifications

In light of the current Functional Skills reforms (see a timeline), we will be withdrawing the Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications listed below, and replacing them with our reformed Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications, available for first teaching in September 2019. We will keep you updated throughout the development period.

We will continue to support and assess the qualifications detailed below up to the final certification date of 31 August 2020. The last date to make entries is 31 July 2020.
