“Today, over a quarter of a million students will get GCSEs from OCR. On behalf of everyone here, all the best to those students and good luck in your next steps.

It’s been an extraordinary few months and today would not be possible without the hard work and collaboration of teachers and exams officers.

Every result is important to us and we want students to get the results they need to move on to the next stage of their education and lives. Things were a bit different this year as we could not run exams as normal. In the end, GCSE students will today receive the centre assessment grades their teachers submitted, or a grade that we calculated, whichever is the higher.

We know that students may have questions about their results. There’s lots of useful information and guidance online for students but please talk to teachers who are best placed to advise on your options.”
