OCR results day – Thousands achieve AS, A Level and Cambridge Technicals results
14 August 2025
More than 180,000 students will be celebrating their OCR qualifications today, as schools and colleges begin giving out around 230,000 results from 8am. OCR's AS and A Levels, Cambridge Technicals, Free Standing Maths Qualification (FSMQ), Extended Project, and Core Maths qualifications are all issued today, allowing students to progress to the next stage in their learning or careers.
In a message to students, Jill Duffy, OCR's Chief Executive, said: "You've shown determination, resilience and commitment through your studies – and you should feel genuinely proud of what you've accomplished."

Today in numbers
- OCR issued A Level, AS Level, FSMQ, Extended Project and Core Maths results to almost 150,000 students.
- OCR issued Cambridge Technicals results to over 35,000 students.
- This year OCR worked with over 7,500 assessment specialists to mark and moderate over 1.5 million exam papers to make results possible this year.
"Versatility and diversity"
Today's results encompass the full range of general and vocational study and reveal interesting trends in subject preference.
OCR has seen another increase in entries for its A Level Computer Science – up 3% this year, and an incredible 41% increase over the past three years.
Jill Duffy said: "One of the most rewarding parts of results day is seeing the versatility and diversity of young people, and the range of subjects they are studying.
"I'd like to highlight the hundreds of thousands of students who have achieved vocational qualifications like Cambridge Technicals, because they don't always get the attention they deserve.
"Each subject poses its own challenges, and provides different opportunities for the future. Every qualification issued today is a significant personal achievement and the result of years of hard work. Congratulations to every student celebrating today, as well as your teachers, family, and everyone else who helped along the way."
