Consistent exam structure, with two equally weighted exams of the same length. The weighting of marks and assessment objectives and the number of questions in each exam section is consistent across each exam series.

Straightforward approach to assessment structure. Students sit two 2-hour exams which are both worth the same number of marks. Paper 1 has two sections and paper 2 has three sections, making for a more manageable assessment experience for students.

A range of engaging set films to choose from allowing students to learn about a diverse range of film styles, contexts and cultures. Our set film lists give teachers a range of options to choose from.

Practical, creative approach to non-exam assessment. The NEA production tasks are fixed for the lifetime of the specification and are designed be as open as possible to give students creative freedom.

A wide range of support for teaching and assessment. Delivery guides and learner activities are available to support teaching, accompanied by extensive assessment resources including practice papers, examiner and moderator reports, candidate exemplars, and a free e-learning course to support marking of the NEA.
