Entries must be made by the deadline as late entries cannot be accepted.
If the registration deadline falls on a public or national holiday, please be aware there is no extension to the registration period.
The entry window opens on 1 March and closes on 4 May at 23:59 UK time.
Before you make entries, you must gather all the candidate details. These must match the candidate’s UCAS entry.
In addition to the candidate's name, date of birth and gender, you must provide their UCAS ID. You do not need to add it when you make the entry but it should be added to their entry before the closing deadline to make sure their result is sent to the relevant institutions.
You can use the candidate registration form to gather candidate details. This can be adapted to include your centre's specific arrangements.
Candidates need to be entered for STEP examinations via the Entries Extranet, a secure website that allows exams officers at approved centres to register, view, amend and withdraw candidate entries.
All approved centres are issued with a login for the Entries Extranet:
For step-by-step instructions for making entries, please see the Entries Extranet user guide.
You can amend and withdraw entries within the Entries Extranet until the entry closing date. If you need to amend or withdraw an entry after this date, you will need to submit an entry amendment or withdrawal form within the Entries Extranet.
Please see the Entries Extranet user guide for more details.
The registration fee per exam paper is provided within the fees list.
Your centre can charge candidates an additional administrative fee to cover any costs incurred, eg hiring invigilators or venue hire.
Your centre will be sent an invoice after the entry window closes. The invoice will include information on how payment can be made.
