Subject information updates are the way we let you know about changes to our qualifications, e.g. extensions or withdrawals. The latest updates are listed below and we send a monthly round up to all OCR exams officers.

If you’re an exams officer and you’re not receiving the monthly round up, get in touch with us to confirm your details. You may be missing out on other important updates.

  • Functional Skills: Update on external assessments 05/12/2019

    We will not be going ahead with on-demand external assessment tests (paper-based or on-screen) for Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills in the academic year, 2019/20.

  • Extension to Functional Skills ICT 03/12/2019

    We are pleased to confirm the review date for these qualifications has been extended.

  • Cambridge National in Information Technologies 02/12/2019

    Following your feedback, we have made some improvements to the set assignment.

  • GCSE Religious Studies 19/11/2019

    For the June 2020 series onwards, components 06-10 will have an integrated question paper and answer booklet.

  • Changes to the June 2020 A Level, GCSE and Cambridge Nationals timetables 07/11/2019

    The June 2020 timetables for GCSE, Cambridge Nationals and A Levels have been updated.

  • GCSE (9-1) Science sample assessment material mark scheme updates 04/11/2019

    We have made some small updates to the mark schemes in the sample assessment material for GCSE (9-1) Science.

  • Change to the release date of the 2019 AS Level question papers and mark schemes 01/11/2019

    AS Level question papers and mark schemes will now be kept on our secure site, Interchange, until after the end of the following June examination series.

  • Extension to CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Level 3 qualifications 23/10/2019

    We are pleased to confirm the review date for these qualifications has been extended.

  • AS and A Level Chemistry B 21/10/2019

    We’ve updated our Chemistry B specifications for AS and A Level with additional guidance on equations for the depletion of ozone by chlorine.
