A Level Geography: Latest updates
Please see below a summary of the latest updates and reminders for A Level Geography in preparation for the June 2018 series.
Sending sample requests for moderation
Please make sure the following three documents are included with each candidate's work before sending the requested sample for moderation:
- A Level independent investigation proposal form – this must be signed by the teacher
- A Level mark recording sheet
- A Level candidate record form and centre declaration – signed by the candidate and teacher.
These documents are all required for the external moderation process and can be downloaded from the A Level qualification page via 'assessment' and then 'forms', or accessed via our forms finder. The specification is currently being updated to make this clear.
Did your candidates use ArcGIS software?
If candidates have completed their non-examination assessment using ArcGIS software, in particular a Storymap, please make sure this is submitted on paper, showing the weblink.
Details required alongside the weblink are the centre name and number and the candidate name and number. This can then be uploaded to the OCR Repository or sent to your moderator (depending on your entry option).
Fieldwork statements
Please remember the completed fieldwork written statements should be retained within centres.
The statements need to be completed by 15 May 2018 and there is no need to send them to us. More information can be found in an earlier subject information update.
If you have any queries about this update, please call our Customer Contact Centre on 01223 553998 or email general.qualifications@ocr.org.uk.
