AS Level Media Studies

Amendments have been made to the indicative content section of the non-examination assessment (NEA) briefs for June 2018.

The indicative content for each of the three briefs is provided as additional guidance for teachers to use when marking the briefs, and has now been updated to remove any reference to the 'statement of intent'.

In the section 'In the top level, learners may also:', the final bullet point for each of the three briefs previously read:

• 'fully reflects the intentions outlined in their Statement of Intent and draw together knowledge and understanding from their whole course of study.'

This has been amended for each of the three briefs, removing any reference to the ‘statement of intent’ and now reads:

• 'draw together knowledge and understanding from their whole course of study.'

We have made this amendment to make sure the 'statement of intent' doesn't become part of the marking criteria. The updated NEA briefs for June 2018 can be found on the assessment part of the qualification page.
