Cambridge National Certificate in Enterprise and Marketing
As the new academic year approaches, we have updated our set assignments and added clarity to specific units. Please make sure you are using the most up-to-date versions with your students.
Specification updates
Section 3.2 of the specification covers Unit R064 (Enterprise and marketing concepts). Within this section, the content has been amended to include additional guidance for teachers about what should be taught and may be assessed. No additional teaching content has been added or removed. The addition of this guidance has removed the need for the content-specific ‘Assessment guidance’ previously contained in this section.
Set assignment updates
Unit R065 (Design a business proposal)
- Page 8 of the 'Scenario for the Business Challenge' has been updated. An extra material option for the hat has been added (‘Wool/wool mix’), with associated variable costs.
Unit R066 (Market and pitch a business proposal)
- Page 9 – The introductory guidance for Task 1 has been clarified, ‘a presentation’ has been removed from the suggested list of suitable formats of evidence for this particular task.
- Page 25/26 – Two additional lines have been added to the Professional pitch Witness Statement Form. These lines allow for the two witnesses’ names/signatures required, in addition to the assessor’s signature. See next point for further clarification
- Page 27 – The guidance for the Professional pitch Witness Statement Form has been amended to reflect the specific task guidance on Page 16 of the assignment – namely that one of the two formal witnesses of the professional pitch should not be the class teacher (who countersigns the form as the assessor).
