Changes to Level 1/2 Cambridge National Award/Certificate/Diploma in ICT (J800, J810 and J820)

Following the removal of performance points, a review of these qualifications and centre feedback we have received, we are making the following changes to the Cambridge Nationals in ICT suite.

Unit R002, Using ICT to create business solutions M/503/6026

We are removing the requirement for candidates to include guidance on email etiquette from the following:

• Marking criteria for centre assessment
• Set assignment
• Unit Recording Sheet.

These can all be found on the qualification page.

If candidates have already produced evidence for this, we will not assess it. We do not require candidates to re-take the task or for you to reassess their work.

Unit R011, Understanding technology – a project approach J/503/6033

After the June 2018 series this unit will no longer be used towards the certification of the Cambridge National Certificate in ICT (J810).

Visiting moderation withdrawal

We are removing the option for visiting moderation following the June 2017 assessment series. We will continue to offer moderation via OCR Repository and post.
