Our Level 3 Cambridge Technicals in Laboratory Skills are changing their name to Level 3 Cambridge Technicals in Applied Science.

To minimise any confusion this may cause, the new qualification titles will come into effect from 1 September 2018. Our updated qualification documentation will be available shortly.

You can claim certificates for your candidates up until 31 August 2018 with ‘OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical in Laboratory Skills’ printed on them. All certificates claimed after this date will have ‘OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical in Applied Science’ printed on them.

Everything else remains unchanged, including the qualification number.

UCAS has been informed of the name change and will update their records accordingly. The 2020 performance tables will also reflect the name change.
