Amended sample mark scheme

Cambridge National in Creative iMedia J834
Following feedback from centres, to improve clarity between the question paper and the mark scheme, we have amended the Cambridge National in Creative iMedia sample mark scheme for Unit R093/01: Creative iMedia in the media industry.
In our question paper for Unit R093/01, we include 9-mark questions in the form ‘Discuss the suitability of [xxx] for the use by [yyy]’. For these questions, we state ‘Marks will be awarded for…’, with bullets intended to help students structure their response.
These questions do not explicitly ask students to identify ‘strengths and weaknesses’. We have therefore removed the following bullet point from the sample mark scheme:
- ‘A range of strengths and weaknesses are identified’

You will see this change in the mark scheme for the live assessments from the January 2025 series onward.
