Updated filming guidance for Entry Level Physical Education
26 June 2025
Following our update in March 2025, we have now updated our filming guidance for Entry Level Physical Education R463.
To support you with planning your filmed evidence for the practical performances, our guidance asks you to consider the quantity and size of evidence you need to collect. Uploading lots of large files should not be necessary.
- The filmed evidence you submit must support the marks you submit.
- You must only upload evidence you and your team used when marking.
Our filming guidance also includes what to keep in mind when filming specific sporting activities to help you obtain high quality footage.
For schools that have requested the visiting moderation option, remember, if you’re submitting marks in activities which cannot be moderated live, a sample of filmed evidence for each activity should be made available for the moderator to view on your moderation day.
You can view the updated filming guidance in Appendix C of the Entry Level PE guide to non-exam assessment (version 2.6) available on our qualification page and Teach Cambridge.
Updated specification
Please note, we have also updated our specification for Entry Level Physical Education. In section 4a, we have clarified the wording and terminology for making entries.
You can view and download the updated specification (version 2.0 – May 2025) from our qualification page and Teach Cambridge.
If you have any queries about this update, please email our PE Subject Advisor team at pe@ocr.org.uk or call our Customer Support Centre on 01223 553998.
