Are your students entered for the correct EPQ?

In September 2017 we issued a subject information update explaining that our existing EPQ (H856) was being withdrawn and replaced with our updated EPQ (H857).

The last main assessment opportunity for H856 was January 2018, with a resit opportunity available in June 2018. Our new EPQ (H857) was made available to use from September 2017, with the first assessment being in June 2018.

For centres that have already followed the older qualification this year and have used the H856 criteria, you can still submit first time students for H856 in June 2018, but any resits for these students (and all new students) must be marked, entered and submitted under the revised H857 qualification for January 2019 onwards.

Please make sure any entries made for June 2018 have definitely been made for the correct qualification. If you are using the older marking criteria, you should use the unit recording sheet (URS) for H856, and enter and submit under H856. If you are using the new revised criteria, you should be entered for H857 and use the URS for H857.

If you need to amend your entries, please follow the below steps:

• Withdraw the wrong entry and make the correct entry
• Contact us to let us know you have switched at GQ.Project@ocr.org.uk

You will be credited for any late fees associated with this change if you make the amendment before 21 March 2018.
