We are planning a paper-based exam session in November 2020. The entry window for creating tests is from 21 September 2020 to 2 October 2020. Please see our website for the key dates and timetables for Functional Skills.

Legacy Functional Skills
In order to support you during coronavirus, we extended our English and maths legacy Functional Skills qualifications (09495-09499 and 09862-09866). Please note these now have a last entry date of 31 October 2020 and last certification date of 31 December 2020.
Paper-based assessment
The last test entry date for paper-based assessments is 31 October 2020. Your students will not be able to sit a paper-based assessment if they have not been entered by 31 October.
For centre-assessed components, please make sure entries are made by 31 October and claims submitted by 30 November 2020 to allow for external moderation and certification to take place.
On-screen assessment
After 31 October 2020, it won’t be possible to register any new candidates in Surpass and associate them with the live or practice subjects for English and mathematics ("the subjects"). Any candidate registered by 31 October and associated with the subjects will be able to sit tests until the 31 December. Therefore, you must register any new candidates that you want to be able to sit tests up to the 31 December in Surpass, and associate them with the subjects by the 31 October.
